I sent an email the other day touting PB49’s experimental digital voting website. Though I thought I had made it clear that the website was an experiment and for informational purposes only, several people mistakenly believed it was an actual online voting website for the Participatory Budgeting election.
Apparently, I was not clear enough. Allow me to clarify further:
If you “voted” online in the PB49 Election, your vote will NOT be counted.
To make your vote count, YOU MUST VOTE IN PERSON. Below are the voting locations:
Vote on Election Day
Saturday, May 3rd (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Chicago Math and Science Academy
7212 N. Clark
(you will have the option of voting either on computer or by paper ballot)
Early Voting Times and Locations
Now through Friday, May 2nd (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
49th Ward Service Office
7356 N. Greenview
(computer voting option 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Today Only (Thursday, May 1st) (3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Loyola “L” Station
(vote by paper ballot only)
All 49th Ward residents, who are 16 years of age or older, are encouraged to vote. Bring a photo ID and proof of address.
