Early voting in PB49, the 49th Ward’s Participatory Budgeting election is underway and turnout is exceeding last year’s record pace. This is where we give you and your neighbors decide by a direct vote how to spend $1 million of the 49th Ward’s capital improvement budget.
Simply stop by the 49th Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis) this week or next, Monday through Friday, anytime between 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m., and cast your vote for your favorite ward improvement project proposals. Then enter the raffle. Just as you can only vote once, you can only enter the raffle once.
Please note: you are NOT required to vote to enter the raffle. But I certainly hope you will decide to cast a ballot. The more people who vote in “PB49,” the more likely the winning projects will reflect the true needs and desires of the people of the 49th Ward.
We will hold the drawing for the winners of the raffle at a special Follow Me on Friday that I am hosting at the Ward Office on Friday, May 5th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., to close out our early voting and get ready for Election Day on Saturday, May 6th!
Again, you do not need to vote to enter the raffle.
Though you can enter the raffle only at the Ward Office, early voting is taking place at locations throughout the 49th Ward. You can also vote online.
