This is a friendly reminder, if you are looking for a safe place to take your kids trick-or-treating for tomorrow’s Halloween holiday, you might want to take advantage of two activities I’m sponsoring:
Trick-or-Treat at the Alderman’s Office
If you are looking for a guaranteed safe place to take the kids trick-or-treating on Halloween, visit my 49th Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis). We’ve decorated the vestibule of my office for the holiday and my staff and I will be handing out Halloween treats to all the kids who stop by. My office will be open all day on Halloween until 7:00 p.m.
“Trunk-or-Treat” Party at Willye White Park
Join us tomorrow on Halloween, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Willye White Park, 1610 W. Howard (at Ashland) Over a dozen cars will be parked alongside the Park District fieldhouse decorated for the holiday with their trunks loaded up with candy. Take your kids from car to car and “trunk-or-treat!”
After your kids collect their treats, head to the Willye White Park gymnasium where your kids will enjoy games, face painting and a mime. Famed wheel performer Wolfgang Bientzle will bring his big circus wheel for the kids to try and Danielle of Jumpiliciousjumprope will provide double dutch jump rope entertainment.
I strongly encourage you and your family to venture out this Halloween. Just be vigilant and go out in groups whenever possible. Take a look at these Halloween Safety Tips for additional information and have a happy Halloween!
