Please be advised that starting Monday, August 27th, and continuing through Wednesday, September 5th, traffic on Sheridan Road, just north of Devon, will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The lane reduction is to allow for the installation of sewer and gas lines for the Concord on Sheridan development on Sheridan at Devon. The work will not take place during the Labor Day weekend (Saturday, September 1st through Monday, September 3rd) and traffic will be unaffected on those days.
If you plan to travel on Sheridan Road during the lane closure period, please consider an alternate route or allow for additional travel time.
The Concord on Sheridan is a seven-story development that will include both market rate and affordable rental housing and a small “flexible format” Target store. The basic form of the building is nearing completion. Work on the seventh floor has starting this week and the building should be “topped off” by the end of August, weather permitting.
The building should be “water tight,” with roof and windows, by the end of September. Work on the electrical and plumbing, as well as the framing of walls, is in progress on the lower floors.
The project is scheduled to be completed by next spring.
If you have any questions about the temporary lane reductions or the development itself, please feel free to reply to this email.
