We have three fun dining and drinking events that support good causes on tap in the coming weeks. The fun begins this weekend.
Rogers Park Dinner Crawl
A World of Taste
Join me on Sunday, October 24 as we travel around Rogers Park and experience some of the great food our wonderfully diverse community has to offer.
This could be the last nice weekend of the year, and what better way to spend it than touring the variety of restaurants on Clark Street! Sample delicious dishes, fine wine & beer and view “Day of the Dead” altar installations made by our very own Rogers Park restaurants. Learn about Day of the Dead Altars and Ofrendas.
Enjoy tastings of Molcachete Ranchero, Mussels, Tostadas de Ceviche, Gorditas, along with standards like hamburgers and chicken on this exotic excursion. This dinner crawl promises to be an exciting and scrumptious culinary experience. This will be an event you will remember for years to come.

Rogers Park Business Alliance’s mission is to improve Rogers Park through business, community and economic development activities. We value the diversity of Rogers Park and diligently work to enhance it through balanced growth.
Our second event brings the return of “Market Dazed.” Last year this event marked the launch of the Glenwood SUnday Market’s community outreach. This year we are celebrating a successful inaugural season, helping to fund a monthly winter market, and ensuring a great second season.
This year Market Dazed takes place at THE MAYNE STAGE. There will be market tastings of all sorts of delectables and local and craft beer, wine and spirits tastings as well. There will be a full line-up of entertainment, a live and silent auction, and probably a few other surprises.

The Mayne Stage
1328 W. Morse Avenue
Tickets: $35 in Advance / $40 at Door
Our third event may give you a chance to watch me held CAPTIVE and working to earn my release.
A vibrant Arts community is essential to the health of any community. I have made a professional and a personal commitment to attracting and supporting the Arts in the 49th Ward, even if it means risking my dignity once in a while, because once we attract quality arts organizations, we as a community must do our part to support them.
Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre is an award-winning not-for-profit theatre company that operates out of the No Exit Cafe within the Glenwood Avenue Arts District. Theo Ubique earns great praise from critics show after show, and they and their cast members have racked up dozens of Jeff Awards. I want to see Theo Ubique on sound financial footing so we can ensure its longevity in Rogers Park.
Theo Ubique has a really fun event planned, and I hope you will save the date and consider attending.

“CAPTIVATED” is a unique event in which community leaders and other fans of Theo Ubique will play the part of a “CAPTIVE AUDIENCE.” A twist on a traditional murder mystery event, this lighthearted evening of mystery, drama and comedy will include cameo performances by Theo Ubique players including Jeff Award Winner, Chris Damiano.
Our “CAPTIVE AUDIENCE” is trying to raise some bucks for Theo Ubique in order to earn their release! Come lend a hand, and play your part.
You can join in the fun by purchasing tickets to “CAPTIVATED” which will take place at The Glenwood Bar. Come see if the CAPTIVE AUDIENCE members, and I among them, earn our release! Join us Monday, November 8 at The Glenwood Bar. Bring some friends and show them what a fun community you have! Tickets are just $35 and include food and drink.
