Back by popular demand, the mobile shredding truck sponsored by Midway Document Destruction will be providing free paper shredding and recycling to residents of the 49th Ward and beyond this Saturday, June 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at my 49th Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis).
The shredding truck is one of my most popular initiatives and a great opportunity to get rid of any old or unwanted papers. Because the documents are shredded, you won’t have to worry about anyone being able to read your private information. Just bring your old documents to the truck, where they will be shredded on the spot in front of you and then taken away to be recycled.
Bring any documents you no longer need or want but that might contain personal or private information. Examples include:
- Bank Statements
- Outdated medical records
- Pay stubs
- Old bills and receipts
- Credit card offers
- Tax returns older than seven years
As an added service, my Ward Service Office will be open Saturday during the shredding to take any service requests you may have.
Clean out your home office or attic and join us this Saturday, June 11th for a day of paper recycling!
P.S. Please note electronics recycling will be available the following Saturday, June 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., as part of my annual Trash to Treasure Swap at the Chicago Math and Science Academy, 7212 N. Clark Street. Look for more details in your email in-box tomorrow.
