My office and the Participatory Budgeting Leadership Committee has teamed up with Stanford University to implement online voting to make casting your ballot in this year’s 49th Ward Participatory Budgeting Election more easy and accessible.
I established Participatory Budgeting in the 49th Ward seven years ago to give the residents of my ward the power to decide by direct popular vote how to spend $1 million of the ward’s annual capital improvement budget.
