Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the reward for information leading to the arrest of the person suspected in the random shooting deaths of two men in Rogers Park is now up to $150,000.
Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson announced the enhanced reward this afternoon at a press conference in Loyola Park, just steps away from the location of the second shooting. He said this is the largest reward offered in any crime probe in the city’s history.
“We’re hopeful that with the increased reward, persons with direct knowledge of the killer will come forward. Someone knows this person,” Superintendent Johnson said. [Read more…]
