You’ve learned about all the steps you can undertake to make your home more energy efficient, but we can all agree there is much more that can be done to secure a more sustainable future for ourselves and our children. Come to the final Saving Green Together workshop–Creating a Solid Foundation: Green Building Legislation and Innovations. The workshop will be held Monday, May 2nd, 6:30 p.m., at the United Church of Rogers Park, 1545 W. Morse (at Ashland), 2nd Floor. Free parking is located in the lot on the southwest corner of Morse and Ashland.
What does the future hold at the federal, state and local level when it comes to a renewable energy future and zero/net energy buildings, solar, geothermal, wind policy and more? Hear from me, Alderman Joe Moore, and State Senator Heather Steans on what is being done on the local, state and federal level to encourage and promote sustainable development.
Hear also from inventor and clean energy entrepreneur Bil Becker, founder and CEO of Aerotecture International. Bil’s company invented the “aeroturbine,” an urban wind turbine that is quiet, efficient and relatively inexpensive for urban dwellers. Bil will talk about the promising new innovations in clean energy technology and development that promise to revolutionize the way we live and use energy.
Join us for an amazing conclusion to our Green Workshop series!
