Sample some of the best our local watering holes have to offer with Unwind: A Pub Crawl. Join your neighbors for an afternoon of food, drink specials, bar games and knitting opportunities (yes, knitting opportunities).
The fun takes place this Saturday, November 12th, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Morse/Glenwood area. Participating bars include:
All the bars will offer food. There will be great prizes, including an MP3 player, camera and more.
Tickets to the event are only $10. Purchase your tickets at the Rogers Park Business Alliance, 1448 W. Morse (at Greenview) before you go on the crawl. The office will open Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Special guest Lindsey Obermeyer from the Red Thread Project will be on hand to offer free knitting lessons and supplies. Novices to experienced knitters are welcome, thus making Rogers Park the only community in the nation to offer a combined pub crawl and knitting circle.
After another successful summer season, the Glenwood Sunday Market launches its popular Winter Marketthis Sunday, November 13th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 6956 N. Greenview, (next door to the Glenwood Bar).
Your favorite vendors will have ample supplies to help you and yours celebrate this beautiful autumn season with delicious, nutritious, locally grown foods produced using sustainable farming practices.

Please note that B True Bakery and Zullo’s are on vacation this week, but will be back next Sunday, November 20. The Market will welcome guest vendor Puffs of Doom in their absence. Be sure to stop by and check out Puffs of Doom’s special organic line of sweet and savory cream puffs! Also, we are thrilled to welcome new vendor Nature’s Pasture with grass-fed beef, pastured chickens, naturally raised pork and maple syrup.
Stroller and wagon parking will be provided outside, and, of course, NO PETS will be allowed indoors.
