The meeting, which takes place tonight (Tuesday, February 21st), 7:00 p.m., at the Mayne Stage Theater, 1328 W. Morse, originally was intended to update the community on the timeline and logistics for the construction of Tawani’s new apartment building on the southeast corner of Morse and Wayne.
Bill Hurley, who together with his partner, brewmaster Art Steinhoff (see photo on right), owns and operates Empirical Brewery and Tap Room in Edgewater, will share his plans to open a restaurant and bar in the former Act One Pub space next to the Mayne Stage and establish a five-barrel beer production system in the empty storefront immediately to the west of the Act One space.
Hurley just yesterday signed a lease for the space with Tawani, the owner of the building.
In addition to the brew pub, Tawani will update the community on the construction timeline and logistics for their eight-story apartment building located across the street from the brew pub on the southeast corner of Morse and Wayne.
I look forward to sharing this exciting news with you.
