I am proud to report that our 49th Ward Participatory Budgeting process once again received national recognition. NPR’s Weekend Edition featured “PB49” in its broadcast on Saturday.

As the story indicates, we just successfully completed our third year of participatory budgeting. For the results of the PB49 Election, CLICK HERE.
Once again, congratulations to the PB49 Leadership Committee, the PB49 Community Representatives, who researched and developed the project proposals, and the over 1,300 49th Ward residents who voted in last month’s election. It was a well-deserved recognition.
It’s not too late to become involved. We’ll be launching the fourth year of Participatory Budgeting in a few months and this coming year we hope to be joined by four or five other Chicago wards. Stay tuned.
