I’m pleased to report the long-awaited opening of the Mayne Stage (site of the former Morse Theater), 1328 W. Morse, kicks off next Thursday, June 3rd, with a series of “Preview Events,” starting with “The Best is Yet to Come” an evening of cabaret featuring area resident Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, Joan Curto, Paul Marinaro and Sue Conway. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.
For tickets to the Preview Events, visit the box office, or to order online CLICK HERE. Use the access code ROGERS PARK and receive your tickets for a special discounted price of $5.00.
A variety of other great entertainment options is planned in the months to come.
Rogers Park resident Jimmy Madla is the Executive Chef and is committed to serving New American food with a focus on regionally influenced items showcasing locally sourced ingredients. You can also stop by and relax at the bar enjoying your choice from a wide selection of handcrafted beers, interesting wine and signature cocktails including the Mayne-hattan. It’s the perfect place for summer nights shared with friends in the neighborhood.
You can’t miss it–just look for the marquee that says Mayne Stage and you’re at the door to Act One Café. Valet parking is available and dinner is served from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. To reserve your table, call 773-381-4550.
Madla’s highly anticipated weekend brunch buffet begins in early June.
I’m confident The Mayne Stage and the Act One Cafe will add to the continued revitalization of the Morse and Glenwood area. Please support these excellent local businesses to ensure that they are a permanent part of the Morse and Glenwood Arts District!
I hope to see you there!
