Please join me for Loyola University’s Annual Community Holiday Party this Wednesday, December 19th, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., in the beautifully restored Mundelein Center for the Fine and Performing Arts, 1020 W. Sheridan.
Loyola President Rev. Michael Garanzini, staff and faculty of Loyola University Chicago are inviting the neighborhood to join them in a celebration of the holidays in a tradition of music, art, charity and community.
The theme for this year’s party is “Tis the Season to be Sustainable.” Loyola will be serving locally sourced food using an eco-friendly catering service, which will provide reusable dishes ad flatware, as well as ample recycling and composting receptacles.
It’s not a holiday party without music and signing! Featured at this year’s event are the Northside Catholic Academy Children’s Choir,Prospect High School’s Madrigal Singers, and Loyola University’s Gospel Choir. Don’t this opportunity to celebrate the holiday season with the friendly faces of the Loyola, Rogers Park, and Edgewater communities.
Admission to this event is at least one canned good or nonperishable food item, which will be donated to a local food pantry.
The Loyola campus parking garage will be open for free parking beginning at 5pm.
