Join me and a host of environmental leaders to discuss how you can fight climate change. Your home, condo or apartment is the epicenter of choices you can make to help prevent the ravages of climate change, and, in many cases, save money on your utility bills.
This workshop will take place on Thursday, August 24th, 6:30 p.m., at the Loyola Park Fieldhouse, 1230 W. Greenleaf Avenue.
While our federal government surrenders its leadership in reducing carbon emissions, Chicagoans are stepping up their responsibility to the environment. The workshop will feature leaders from the Illinois Environmental Council, Natural Resources Defense Council, Illinois Chapter of Sierra Club, Elevate Energy, Environmental Law and Policy Center, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Citizens Utility Board, Illinois Solar Energy Association, USGBC-Illinois and the City of Chicago.
This all-star line-up will provide information on energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as useful tips to help all residents of the community fight climate change and reduce their utility bills. Representatives from the City of Chicago also will provide an update on how the Energy Benchmarking Ordinance is encouraging larger residential buildings to track and reduce energy consumption.
I hope you can join me at this workshop to protect our environment.
