Need help finding a job?
The Rogers Park Full Employment Project, a volunteer effort of the Pottawattomie Park Advisory Council, will be sponsoring a series of free job search coaching workshops offering one-on-one advice on job search methods and strategies.
The first workshop will be held this Saturday, January 30th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Pottawattomie Park Fieldhouse, 7340 N. Rogers (just west of the Metra tracks).
Job search advisers will counsel participants in the tapping the hidden job search method as noted by Donald Asher in his book Cracking the Hidden Job Market.
This method is based on a systematic method of networking and information gathering that may lead to job opportunities that are not advertised or apparent to the majority of job seekers.
The event is free. And free daycare services will be available to event participants. Parking is available adjacent to the park fieldhouse.
The Pottawattomie Park Advisory Council, which is spearheading the Full Employment Project, holds regular meetings at the park fieldhouse at 7:15 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month. All are welcome to bring their ideas to the meetings.
