Rogers Park is fast becoming known for its laid-back, community-oriented festivals. Don’t look now, but there’s another great festival coming up this Saturday afternoon—Rogers Pork.
The second annual festival will be held tomorrow (Saturday, August 29th), from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on the 1500 block of Jarvis (between Greenview and the Jarvis Red Line Station).
As its name indicates, Rogers Pork is a barbecue festival put on by some of the Jarvis Square businesses-R Public House, Taste Food and Wine, Towbar and Poitin Stil. The festival will showcase five local bands and serve up Texas pulled pork and grilled chicken and North Carolina-style ribs. If you’re looking for something other than meat, The Amazing Kale Burger will be offering amazing kale burgers.
