Are you looking for a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween with your kids right here in the neighborhood?
I’ve got a great idea for you!
The Rogers Park Parents Group is sponsoring the first annual ROGERS PARK HALLOWEEN PARTY, Friday, October 31st, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., in Jarvis Square (Jarvis and Greenview).
The event is free and open to all.
From 4:00 to 5:30 there will be games for kids and a Halloween kiddie concert starting at 4:30, featuring Rogers Park musicians and parents Sarah and Karl Montzka.
5:30 there will be a costume parade, featuring the Family Matters drummers.
6:00 the group trick or treat will commence, starting in Jarvis Square, heading west to Paulina, and then east to Sheridan Road.
7:00 is story time with Nadine, at the Dagel and Beli.
The event will also feature a pumpkin carving contest! Drop off a carved pumpkin at Taste Food and Wine, 1506 W. Jarvis. Prizes include gift certificates from The Common Cup, Gruppo di Amici and Lakeside Cafe. The winning entree will be voted on and announced at the party.
