After taking a few days off to recuperate from the election, I’m back at it again with another great Follow Me on Friday location. This Friday, March 4th, we’re visiting a classic Rogers Park bar, Bruno and Tim’s Lounge, 6562 N. Sheridan. Join me from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a complimentary drink and some free appetizers. Owned and operated by the father and son team of Bruno and Tim Roti, the bar has operated continuously at this location since Bruno opened the doors to the public in 1957.
The building that houses Bruno and Tim’s has an amazing architectural feature. When you approach the building, gaze up to the top of the facade and you’ll see a mural featuring Chicago’s skyline as it appeared when the building was constructed in the 1920s.
“Follow Me on Friday” is one of my efforts to encourage my constituents to sample some of the 49th Ward’s finest restaurants, pubs and businesses. Each week on my Facebook page, I post the name and location of a local restaurant, pub or business where I’ll be hanging out after work on Friday. The establishment offers specials for all my Facebook followers and their friends. It’s a great opportunity for you to check out one of the fine local 49th Ward businesses you may not have visited before.
