Follow me this Friday, May 5th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., to vote early at the 49th Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis), and then join me for fried chicken, mac and cheese and liquid refreshments (including margaritas, beer, wine and soft drinks).
Please note you are not required to vote to enter the raffle (or attend the party, for that matter).
This is the eighth year of my participatory budgeting process in which I give residents of the 49th Ward the power to determine by direct vote how to spend the ward’s $1 million infrastructure budget. Vote for the ward improvement projects you would most like to see implemented this year and then join us from some food and refreshments.
If you can’t make it to my Follow Me on Friday event, or simply don’t feel like socializing, that’s ok. Early voting is taking place at my 49th Ward Service Office today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can also vote early today (Thursday), from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., outside the Sheridan Road entrance to the Loyola “L” station.
You can also vote online from the comfort of your home, office, coffee shop or any location with an internet connection. Simply email my office at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and address. My staff will respond with the URL to the early voting website and a special access code to enter at that site. Then proceed to vote, following the instructions provided.
Finally, the official Election Day is this Saturday, May 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Chicago Math and Science Academy, 7212 N. Clark.
