Join me this weekend for one of the most popular neighborhood events of the summer–the 17th annual Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival.
It’s a FREE, weekend-long arts festival that features over 120 artists, open studios, and live entertainment by 40 bands on three outdoor stages. Experience every variety of art, music, theater, food and drink on the streets of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District at Morse and Glenwood.
The three-day festival kicks off with a fest launch party, the FRIDAY NIGHT COBBLESTONE JAM, tonight (Friday, August 17th) from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The fest continues with an artists’ market tomorrow (Saturday, August 18th) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 19th, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Some of the best music performers in Chicago will be featured at the festival. View the entertainment schedule.
The Glenwood Ave Arts Festival includes only works that are personally made by the exhibiting artists. All types of fine arts and crafts are represented, including painting, photography, drawing, graphics, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, wearable art, ceramics, glass, weaving, wood, metal, leather, and more!
Find a gem from a soon-to-be-famous artist or pick up some holiday gifts from the ceramic and craft workers.
If you have a City service request, or just want to say hello, stop by my 49th Ward Satellite Service Office Booth on Morse just west of Glenwood. My staff and I will be there throughout most of the festival.
I urge you to take advantage of this amazing festival!
