The Neighborhood Assemblies in the 49th Ward’s historic Participatory Budgeting Initiative continue this week. Attend one of the upcoming assemblies to learn more about Participatory Budgeting, in which the residents of the 49th Ward vote directly on how to spend the Ward’s infrastructure budget, and get in on the ground floor in formulating next year’s ward improvement projects.
Tonight’s Neighborhood Assembly (Tuesday, November 1) takes place at Loyola University’s Centennial Forum Student Union, 1125 W. Loyola (at Sheridan) and is targeted for 49th Ward residents living south of Pratt. Pizza and refreshments, courtesy of J.B. Alberto’s Pizza, will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday’s meeting (November 3) takes place at the United Church of Rogers Park, 1544 W. Morse (at Ashland) and is for 49th Ward residents who live east of Clark between Lunt and Wallen. Once again, pizza and refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 7:00 p.m.
If you live in those areas but cannot attend those meetings, or you’ve missed your area’s meeting, don’t worry. All Neighborhood Assembly meetings are open to every 49th Ward resident.
