Do you live or work on or near Howard Street? Would you like to improve the safety, operations and appearance of the street?
Evanston Alderman Ann Rainey, 50th Ward Alderman Debra Silverstein and I are teaming up with the Chicago Department of Transportation and the Evanston Public Works Agency to host two public meetings to obtain feedback on various design alternatives to improve Howard Street from Winchester to Sacramento:
Public Meeting Number 2
Monday, August 28th, 7:00 p.m.
St. Margaret Mary Activity Center
7341 N. Claremont (at Jarvis)
The meetings will include a brief presentation on the need for improvements, various design alternatives under consideration, and a possible project timelines. Photographs displaying existing conditions, aerial maps and proposed improvement exhibits will be displayed for viewing during the entire meeting.
Representatives from the City of Chicago, the City of Evanston, and the consultants will be on hand to discuss the proposed project and answer any questions you may have. Comment forms will also be available at the meeting.
You may also submit your comments and suggestions by replying to this email. I will forward your comments to the appropriate officials in Chicago and Evanston.
