The Glenwood Sunday Market is calling all bakers to donate a cake or other baked dessert for its Cake or Bake Auction. The auction will take place on Saturday, December 1st, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lifeline Theater, 6912 N. Glenwood, during the Sunday Market’s holiday benefit, “It’s a Wrap.”
Do you have a signature cake or other dessert? Your famous red velvet cake, deep-dish apple pie, holiday cookies, or chocolate banana bread can gain renown beyond your family and close friends. It just might be the hit of the party! And it certainly will help sustain the Glenwood Sunday Market.
For details on how to donate a baked good, including how to label and package your creation, please contact Barbara Moore at BarbaraMoore49@gmail.com.
Donated goodies will need to be delivered to the Lifeline Theater, 6912 N. Glenwood, between 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st.
Not a baker? You can support the Glenwood Sunday Market by donating raffle items, or by simply rounding up some friends, attending the It’s a Wrap party, and bidding on someone else’s tempting treats.
It’s a Wrap is an evening of food, fun and entertainment to benefit the Glenwood Sunday Market and to celebrate the Market’s successful third season as we move the market from outdoors to indoors for the winter. It’s a Wrap will feature an abundance of “wrapped” appetizers, a dollar raffle and performances by the Heebie Jeebies, Kitchen Table–Illinois, and the Dave Mendez Trio.
Tickets to It’s a Wrap are $30 a piece or four for $100.
Or purchase your tickets at the Rogers Park Business Alliance, 1448 W. Morse (at Greenview) during regular business hours.
