Bring the young people in your life to an exciting day of hands-on activities exploring how the brain works.
Sullivan High School, in partnership with the Northwestern University Brain Outreach program, is hosting a Brain Awareness Fair TOMORROW (Saturday, May 20th) at the high school located at 6631 N. Bosworth.
The event is divided into two identical sessions. The morning session is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The afternoon session is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
At the event, you and your child will find over a dozen exciting demonstrations and fun, hands-on activities that demonstrate how your brain works! Activities include touching a real sheep brain, viewing optical illusions, controlling a Lego robot with brain derived signals and much more!
Activities are geared towards all ages. Kids and teens learn together with parents or chaperones about neuroscience. Whether your child is already an aspiring scientist or has never taken great interest in science, the interactive fun of the Brain Awareness Fair will be interesting and inspiring for any young person.
The event is free (though a $5 voluntary donation per family would be greatly appreciated) and open to any child or teen accompanied by an adult. Space is limited, so sign up soon for the Brain Awareness Fair!
