Do you want to find out more about the 49th Ward’s Participatory Budgeting process, but can’t attend an evening meeting? That’s why we’ve scheduled the next “PB49” Neighborhood Assembly for the morning.
It’s taking place this Saturday morning, October 5th, at the Willye White Park Fieldhouse, 1610 W. Howard (at Ashland). Join us for free coffee and donuts at9:30 a.m. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Each year I receive over $1 million to spend on infrastructure projects in our ward. Rather than decide on my own how to spend the money, I turn that power over to the people of the 49th Ward who decide by a direct vote how the money should be spent.
Meet with your neighbors this Saturday to learn how the process works and begin to brainstorm about the projects you believe the ward needs.
If you can’t make this Saturday’s meeting, don’t worry. The PB49 Leadership Committee and I have scheduled four other meetings you can attend. All the meetings are identical in content, so you need only to attend just one.
Below is the schedule for the remaining Neighborhood Assemblies:
