If you are an individual artist or involved with a non-profit organization with an arts and culture mission, you might be interested in an upcoming FREE workshop for Cultural Grant Program applicants conducted by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). The workshop will be held thisWednesday, November 19th, 6:00 p.m. at the Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse.
As Chairman of the City Council Committee on Special Events, Cultural Affairs and Recreation, I’m committed to making sure the 49th Ward gets its fair share of City funding for arts and culture. As a result, for the very first time, DCASE will present a cultural grants workshop here in Rogers Park to better reach and support artists from Chicago’s far north side!
To register for the workshop, CLICK HERE.
Director of the Grants Program for DCASE, Allyson Esposito, will lend her expertise to those seeking grant funding from either the Individual Artists Program or the CityArts Program. She will review updates to grant guidelines and review criteria, and provide tips and guidance to help applicants to prepare the strongest, most competitive applications possible. There will also be time available for one-on-one questions for the DCASE Team.
After the workshop, The Mayne Stage’s Act One Café will be open for attendees who wish to stay and meet with each other and members of the Rogers Park Arts Alliance.
