I am pleased to report that work crews are currently in the neighborhood cleaning and lining catch basins and making repairs where necessary. The work began on Monday and will be completed before the onset of winter. For a map of the work area scroll to the bottom of this article.
The dots on the map indicate catch basins that will be repaired or replaced in addition to being cleaned. The cleaning started Monday on the north end of the work area and will proceed south.
All catch basins in the area, including those that will be repaired or replaced, will be lined. Lining the catch basins improves their structural integrity and guards against future collapse. The typical lifespan of a lined catch basis is an estimated 30 to 50 years.
