Last Chance to Get Your City Vehicle Sticker at Alderman Moore's Office

Posted: 7/8/2009

Dear Neighbor,

You have one last chance to purchase your city vehicle sticker right here in the 49th Ward before the July 15th deadline.

City stickers will be available for purchase Thursday, July 9th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at my Ward Service Office, 7356 N. Greenview (at Jarvis).  There is no additional fee for this service.

The prices for the vehicle stickers are as follows:

  • Small passenger vehicles (under 4,500 lbs):  $75.00
  • Larger passenger vehicles (4,500 lbs or more):  $120.00
  • Senior Citizens (for small and larger vehicles):  $30.00
  • Truck (16,000 lbs or less):  $180.00
  • Motorcycle:  $45.00

Residents who live in residential parking zones will find their zone number now printed on their annual vehicle sticker, eliminating the need for a second sticker.  A vehicle sticker in a residential permit parking zone will cost an additional $25.

Cash, checks and money orders will be accepted.  Please no credit or debit cards.

As an added security measure, license plate information is now included on the stickers.  Residents must know their vehicle license plate number when purchasing their sticker.  Additional security features include new barcode technology and reflective particles in the sticker.

To avoid a fine, you must post your vehicle sticker in your car windshield no later than July 15th.
