Health Care Community Discussion for Obama Transition Team

Posted: 12/29/2008

Dear Neighbor,

Health care reform is one of the top priorities of our president-elect, Barack Obama.  His transition team is seeking input from communities across the nation on how affordable universal health care should be implemented.

Northside POWER, a grassroots community organization that addresses systemic hunger and poverty issues in Rogers Park, is stepping up to the plate and sponsoring simultaneous FOCUS GROUPS ON HEALTH CARE REFORM tomorrow, Tuesday, December 30th, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at three locations--the Gale Park Community Center (1610 W. Howard) and the Good News Community Church and Good News Community Kitchen (both located at 7649 N. Paulina).

The Obama Transition Team will use the input gained from these and other focus groups to fashion the health care proposal that will be presented to Congress next year.  If you care about health care reform, you don't want to miss this important opportunity to have your voice heard.

To reserve your space in one of the focus groups, please contact Keith Scott at keith@gnck.org or call 773-262-2297 ext. 22.

Sincerely,

Joe Moore
