Community Meeting to Review Proposed Artwork at Howard El Station

Dear Neighbor,

The CTA Arts in Transit Program has nominated 16 Artists/Artist Teams-- including three 49th Ward artists--as finalists for the competition to commission permanent artwork for the new Howard El Station. 

I invite you to attend a community meeting to review and comment on the finalists' proposals.  The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 24th, 7:00 p.m., at the Gale Community Center (Howard and Marsfield).

I hosted a meeting last April at my Ward Office to introduce the arts project and explain the commissioning process.

Two artists (or artist teams) will be commissioned to create artwork for permanent exhbition at the Howard Station.  The winners will be announced in October.
