Purchase Your City Vehicle Sticker at Alderman Moore's Service Office

Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

49th Ward Service Office
7356 N. Greenview

The Chicago City Clerk's office will be selling City vehicle stickers at the 49th Ward Service Office.

This will be your chance to purchase and display your City sticker before the City begins enforcing the requirement on Wednesday, July 16th

Failure to purchase and display the new vehicle city sticker by July 16th could result in a $120 ticket and a purchasing late fee.

The prices for the City vehicle stickers are as follows:
- Small passenger vehicles (under 4,500 lbs.): $85.00
- Larger passenger vehicles (4,500 lbs. or more): $135.00
- Senior Citizens (for small and larger vehicles): $30.00
- Truck (16,000 lbs. or less): $200.00
- Motorcycle: $45.00

A vehicle sticker in a residential permit parking zone will cost an additional $25.

Please bring your city sticker renewal form. If you do not have your renewal form, you must bring one of the following VIN approved documents:
- State vehicle registration card, or
- Vehicle title, or
- Insurance card displaying your VIN

If you are a senior citizen, make sure to bring your driver's license to receive the senior discount. If you are purchasing a city sticker on behalf of a senior citizen, please bring that person's driver's license.

The Clerk's Office prefers payment by check or money order, but will accept cash or credit card payments.

You may also purchase your city sticker at the City Clerk's office in City Hall at 121 N. LaSalle or at one of its satellite locations. The north side City Clerk's office is located at 5340 W. Gale. Finally you may purchase your sticker at a currency exchange. Please note, however, that currency exchanges will charge you a $5.50 convenience fee.

Though you may purchase your city sticker online, there is no guarantee you will receive it by the July 16th deadline.

Keep in mind that even if your vehicle is registered in the suburbs or out-of-state, you may need to purchase a city vehicle sticker. By ordinance, vehicles that are "principally garaged" in the city more than 30 days must display a city vehicle sticker.

As a final inducement to purchasing your city sticker on time, 49th ward office staff and Alderman Moore will be handing out free lemonade to everyone who buys a sticker at the office.
