More Street Sweeping News
Dear Neighbor,
I have some additional news to report on Street Sweeping, which starts on Tuesday. The city's Streets and Sanitation Department will be using color-coded street sweeping signs to tell motorists when parking bans are in effect. Rather than using the traditional orange "no parking" signs exclusively, the Department will use a different color for each day of the week.
According to a Streets and Sanitation Department spokesperson, the different colored signs will help people avoid parking tickets and make the street sweeping process more efficient.
We'll see.
In any event, the color codes are as follows:
- Monday - Blue
- Tuesday - Red
- Wednesday - Yellow
- Thursday - Green
- Friday - Orange
Street sweeping runs from this Tuesday, April 1st until the end of November. To obtain a street sweeping schedule for the 49th Ward, click HERE.
Sincerely,
Joe Moore
