With groups like the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Restaurant Association raising lots of funds for Joe's opponents, we need to get active now.
Please join us this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for our Ward Canvass. We'll meet at the Democratic Party of the 49th Ward Campaign Office at 1774 W. Greenleaf and then hit the pavement. We'll be there almost every Saturday and we need your help.
You can also help by recruiting your friends and neighbors to work with us or by raising money to help counter the funds these special interests are raising in an effort to defeat Joe.
To volunteer, email us at Democrats@49thWard.com or simply reply to this message.
We are now able to accept contributions on our website, so you can easily email your friends and neighbors and ask them to support the alderman who fights for the 49th Ward, for working women and men everywhere, and for all those who need someone looking our for their best interests.
There are no contribution limits in Illinois, so those special interests can write big checks. But we can counter them the grass-roots democratic way by raising a lot of money a little bit at a time from lots of people.
We can also put on our walking shoes or pick up our phones and start talking to our neighbors to make sure they are registered to vote, that they know about all the good work Joe does, and that they help us put him on the ballot in February so we can ensure that the City Council still has someone speaking for us!

Forward this letter to your friends with a personal note from you and ask them to do the same. Your contribution of time or money today will send a strong message that we will not be intimidated.
Thank you for your unwaivering support and friendship. Together we can stand up and continue fighting for the 49th Ward and beyond.
