Alderman Moore on FOX Chicago Sunday

Dear Neighbor,

As you know, Mayor Daley has asked the City Council to consider a property tax increase of up to $108 million and a slew of other taxes and fee increases.  I will be discussing those proposals on FOX Chicago Sunday (WFLD-TV, broadcast channel 32) this Sunday morning, October 7th, shortly after 8:00 a.m.

I am very interested in hearing your thoughts about the possible increases, as the City Council begins hearings on the Mayor's proposed budget.  The cost of government continues to rise, and I am constantly pushing for more infrastructure improvements and services in the 49th Ward, which cost money.  At the same time, scandals such as the hired truck scandal and continued political patronage, cast into serious doubt whether our tax dollars are always wisely spent.
