Maggie Daley, wife of Chicago's Mayor Richard M. Daley, will join us for the official dedication of the Willye B. White Recreational Center this Saturday, September 26th, 9:30 a.m. The center is located at 1610 W. Howard (at Marshfield).

New Information on Loyola University's Plans for Sheridan and Albion

Dear Neighbor,
As you may recall, I am hosting a community meeting to review Loyola University's plans for the property located at 6572-90 N. Sheridan Road (southwest corner of Sheridan and Albion). The University informed me that they planned to demolish the two buildings on the corner and replace them with landscaping and a raised-bed urban educational garden for Loyola's Center for Environmental Research and Policy.
Yesterday, I was informed by Loyola that upon further review, the University determined that the southwest corner of Albion and Sheridan would not be a suitable site for the garden.

Community Meeting on Loyola University's Plan for a Garden at Albion & Sheridan

Dear Neighbor,
I invite you to attend a COMMUNITY MEETING to review Loyola University's plans for the property located at 6572-90 N. Sheridan Road (southwest corner of Sheridan and Albion). The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, 7:00 p.m., at Loyola University's Crown Center Auditorium, 1001 W. Loyola (at the Lake).

49th Ward CTA Stations to Get New Security Cameras

I am pleased to report that the CTA will install high-resolution digital security cameras and related equipment at its 49th Ward "L" stations by the end of next May. The stations include the Howard, Jarvis, Morse, Loyola and Granville Red Line stations.
