"Rendezvous with the Blues" at Northside Community Resources' First Benefit
Take advantage of a unique opportunity to enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks while listening to some of the best local blues music around. "Rendezvous with the Blues" is the first official benefit of Northside Community Resources (NCR), the organization formerly known as the Rogers Park Community Council.
The fun takes place this Tuesday, May 15th, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at SPACE, 1245 Chicago, in Evanston. Enjoy the sounds of "Cheryl and the Dynamics" and "The Geneva Convention" in the intimate surroundings of a premier music venue and support the vital work of this important agency.
NCR serves a-risk seniors, victims of domestic violence, immigrants and other residents in need. NCR's skilled staff assistants advocate for those in need to insure they receive all the rights and benefits to which they are entitled and ultimately live a better life.
Local apartment tenants, for example, call upon NCR's Housing Resource Center to advocate on their behalf when their landlord fails to address basic maintenance issues or otherwise violates the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance. The north side's most isolated seniors, meanwhile, look to NCR to access in-home services that allow them to live independently. And every day, victims of domestic violence contact NCR's Victim Advocacy and Support Program for help securing orders of protection.
NCR's caring team works with residents one-on-one to empower their lives and enrich our neighborhood.
