Farmers' Market Moves to New Location; Back to School Picnic Sunday
Dear Neighbor,
Work on the Morse/Glenwood Streetscape project has begun on Glenwood south of Morse, and the Glenwood Sunday Market will be moving to its new and permanent location on Glenwood north of Morse (between Morse and Lunt) this Sunday, August 29th. The Market will continue to operate during its usual hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all the farmers and vendors you have come to depend on will be there.
This is your LAST CHANCE to visit the American Farmland Trust web site and VOT
E for the Glenwood Sunday Market as your favorite farmers' market. Just click on the link on the right of this page, type in zip code 60626, and cast your vote for the Glenwood Sunday Market. The wining farmers' market will receive $3,000, which the Glenwood Sunday Market will use to make next year's market even better! Thanks to the votes of Glenwood Sunday Market supporters, the Market is in a DEAD HEAT FOR FIRST PLACE in its category, so we need your vote!
After shopping at the Farmers' Market, stop by beautiful Loyola Park at Farwell and the Lake where I will be hosting my 20th Annual BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC. The picnic takes place from 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m.
This is a COMMUNITY PICNIC for people of all ages. We'll be serving up free food, drinks and music and offering a host of games and prizes. We'll have bingo for the seniors and face painting for the kids, a dance contest, the City of Chicago's popular Jumping Jack and other carnival toys. Plus, we will have a special performance by the amazing Jesse White Tumblers!
Don't miss the fun! For more information, please reply to this e-mail or call my Ward Service Office at 773-338-5796.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Sincerely,
Joe Moore
